Vision
Mission Impossible envisions a return to the charity work of the
early church. In the Book of Acts, for example, Christians held
charity events, selling some of their possessions from time to
time, and giving money to anyone with a need (Acts 2:42-45). All of the believers
were one in heart and mind, and they shared everything they had.
As a result, there were no needy persons among them (Acts 4:32-35).
Our mission is to help meet the needs of as many
people as possible in a similar fashion. Our vision is to see the
charity work of the early church happen again today, with the goal
of having no needy people among us! Sound impossible?
Hence the name, "Mission Impossible"! But with God all
things are possible!
Purpose
Here at Mission Impossible we believe that the true
calling of Christians is centered on giving to those in need. The
Bible states, "The entire law is summed up in a single command:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself’" (Gal. 5:14). "... ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment
greater than these" (Mk. 12:31). Furthermore, we should, "Carry
each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of
Christ" (Gal. 6:2). With this in mind, Mission Impossible is
focused on helping families in need with utility bills, housing
bills, etc., along with food and clothing.
